What is a Premiere event vs. Open Play?
Premiere events run during a specific window of dates — your team picks a day and start time at checkout. These are competitive: all Premiere teams are ranked on the same leaderboard and the top 3 win real medals. Open Play tickets have no fixed date and are valid for one year — perfect if you want flexibility, though Open Play teams are ranked separately.
How long does the game take?
Most teams finish in 2–3 hours. The route covers approximately 3km through the city, with 8–10 puzzle stops along the way. Your official time starts when you tap GO at the first location and stops when you complete the final stop.
How many people can play on a team?
Each ticket supports up to 6 players. Everyone on your team downloads the City Sleuth app and enters the same ticket code on their own phone. You play together in person — the app keeps everyone in sync. Some games also offer a Solo ticket at its own price — the same mission, built for playing as one squad instead of two. What if it rains?
The game runs rain or shine. We recommend checking the forecast and dressing accordingly. The app and all puzzle elements are designed to work outdoors in typical weather conditions. If severe weather makes play unsafe, contact us and we'll work something out.
